can teething cause diarreah?

My 9 month old just got his first two bottom teeth this week and he has had terrible diarreah for the past three days. He isnt acting sick other that a bit cranky from the teething and he doesnt have a fever so i cant figure out whats up with the diarreah. Do teething babies get the poops? Should I do something about it? He doesnt seem to be dehydrated and is still nursing well.
anyone elses baby have this while teething?

yup, the poops can happen. i guess it is from the inc'd saliva or something.
as long as he seems fine i wouldn't worry

Yup, same here. All 4 of my kids got the runs with each new tooth. It goes away. Just keep that tender little bottom well aired out.

Yup... and sometimes they will get the telltale "drool rash" you may have seen on their chin on their poor lil bottom from it. Fresh air, as always, a great remedy!

a baby's salive changes pg when teething. plus there's so much more saliva/drool. i would always get sore nipples when my dd was getting a new tooth lol. but my ds got terrible diarrhea with some of his teeth.
