Avoiding plastic/foil when freezing food

I'm sorry if this has already been asked, but I couldn't find it when I searched the forum...

We're trying to move away from using plastic wrap, ziplocs, and foil altogether. And I'm doing really well for dry or refrigerated items...but I just don't know how to handle items going into the freezer.

I always cook extra to "feed the freezer" so we don't get takeout on busy nights, and for pancakes/scones/muffins, etc. So this is not a now and then kind of thing for me - more of a several times a week thing. I REALLY dislike how many ziplocs are in my life (freezer) right now!

So how do you store these things without using plastic and foil? Thanks!

We have some glas and stainless steel containers. My problem is always trying to get the things airtight. So, I am looking for other responses.

A lot of people freeze in glass Mason jars. Right now, most of my food is frozen in plastic, but I was given a FoodSaver vacuum sealer with a Mason jar attachment--it seals the jars airtight--so I'm slowly switching to jars. I plan to store them in milk crates, so I can sort and stack them in the freezer.

I also do some freezing in Pyrex with plastic lids, mostly 13 x 9 casseroles and lasagnas. The lids are still plastic, but at least the food touches only glass. Unfortunately, these aren't airtight, so I have to use the food quickly.

If you just don't want plastic/foil touching your food, you can wrap food in wax paper before putting in bag. That translates to more disposable material, though, which I hate. :

I thought the glass containers with plastic lids (such as pyrex) was the perfect solution. I thought they were airtight. Mason jars too. Maybe I don't store my food long enough to get freezer burn? :
