those printed ABC banner strip things like we used to have in elementary school. They were on white paper and it went over the top of the chalkboard usually. ARGHHHH...none here in teh UK, and I don't see ANY on Ebay. Emily could use one to help her visualise alphabetical order and which way to face a few letters when doing free writing.:

i don't know about the banner format, but you might look through here:
ABC Teach

And you might find something here:
Artist, Jan Brett's site

And there are more sites that may have things that would be helpful in this annotated list of links:

I have seen them at my local Dollar Tree and Staples Office Supply stores. Rainbow Resource has these but I am not sure if that's exactly what you mean.

I know what you mean. I have some wooden letters upper and lower case about 4" high which were being thrown out at a school where I used to work dd likes to daw around and trace. The wooden letters have been replaced by pre-cut paper letters which you can get from school suppliers like the consortium or NES Arnold

Could you make one fromthese
Or this is cool

btw is that you, emmysmum?

Also, Lakeshore Learning Supplies has 'em oh, and Discount School Supplies

I just used printer paper and made my own, one pg per letter. I know someone who bought an abc type book second hand and put it under the paper cutter, voila! Art quality cards! Cover with contact paper if you can't laminate them, mine are going on 15 years now, now thats good $$ sense!

I got mine at our Dollar store. I have several that run around the room. I have 2 Regular Script, 2 sets of Cursive, Sign Language, 1 for colors and 1 for numbers 1-20. I also have one for music notes. Mine are not plain white though. They are very colorful with pictures.

We made our own number board using a poster board. You can buy poster board and ask them to cut it for you into strips and then just trace your own letters and decorate it as you choose.

IKEA also sells art paper in a roll and you can just roll out as much as you need and then cut it into a strip as big as you want if you want it to be continuous.

If I remember correctly, neither of these places will ship overseas.

Thanks, guys. I will have mama go to her dollar store in kentucky and Florida and send me a parcel over Staples is great idea too..I remember Staples here had the bulletin board type art too. We would get a kick out of that. I am wanting to do one around the months and pin up their art work relating to the theme around it.
