Does anyone like/have the Ergo baby carrier - Page 2

I've only tried ours a couple of times for short stints. It seems to rub around my arms, I may try crossing the straps behind me next time. So far my MT has been more comfy, but Zai's only 14 lbs so that may change when he gets bigger.

I absolutely love my Ergo. I got it when my son was over 1, and it was great for the new walker stage. We could head out to the park and he could walk a bit, then ride a bit, then walk a bit, then ride a bit. It was so easy to get him in and out after lots of practice, and I wasn't stuck pushing an empty stroller all over the place while chasing a toddler.

I have to admit that I don't like the Ergo - not because of comfort, but because of aesthetics.

See, for me, I think my babywearing is an extension of my wardrobe. And, yes, I'm totally vain and into my clothes. I'm also a plus-size mama - and this means that the Ergo (when baby is worn on the back) cuts my gut in half and then pushes down my already low jeans. That is not a good look.

Plus, I'm not really the outdoorsy-hiking-REI type. If ya know what I mean. I much prefer my numerous wraps, my hotsling pouch, my Kozy mei tai.... I'm a junkie - but it has to be good lookin!

Pamela I put DS on my back for the first time this past weekend. Since I too don't like tight things around my tummy I pulled my tshirt out over the waist portion of the ERGO. It seemed to work for me.

I liked my Ergo quite a lot (using 3 years and counting!), but then I found a MT that fit my body right and made baby's wheight evaporate, so I love it above the Ergo.
