safety of ivf while nursing

I am wondering about the safety of IVF while nursing. Do the drugs go into breastmilk? What are the effects? Has safety for IVF while nursing been proven or disproven? I read in another post that it can decrease the chances of conceiving, which I will think about eventually, but right now I am wondering about safety for my 15 breastfeeding son.

I started a thread about that quite awhile ago...if you scroll down you'll find it. It should have lots of info and some links you can reference. Basically, what I found after all of my research was that the meds were "not a concern" for most, and there was medical info referenced ( that is as far as the effect of the meds on the nursling). The problem may be a significantly less likelihood of getting pregnant, though. Many doctors, mine included, would not approve an ivf cycle for a nursing mother due to the cost and the decreased success rate while nursing. Good luck!
