When my son was born we did EC part time and it was going well but when he started crawling he refused to sit on the potty. We have always used cloth diapers and he has been changes when soiled. He is 21 mo now and knows the sign for potty, watches us do it, we talk about it and sometimes he wants to sit on it. I decided to maybe go back to EC and have been putting him in Imse Vimse trainers( while home) that definately tell him when he is wet and they are uncomfortable. He usually tells me after the fact. I also offer the potty when he wakes from sleeping but he just gets really mad and refuses to sit on it. Any suggestions to get going again? I am really careful not to show any displeasure when he doesn't tell me in time, I don't mind cleaning up the mess. I don't want to pressure him but I would love to move him towards better communication and awareness of his potty needs. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. TIA
