Thank You Webster Technique!

So they thought my little guy was breech up until last week, (I'm 37 weeks and 3 days). I am quite sure he was up until Friday, (very obvious head under my rib cage and tons of kicks to my pelvis). I was freaking out because I'm planning a homebirth, but there are almost no doctors who will even deliver a breech baby here in Ontario, (Canada) so I would most likely end up with a c-section : which is about as opposite from what I want as you can get...

I found a local chiropractor who is certified in Webster (her office has a 92% success rate in turning babies via Webster). The funny thing is I am pretty sure I felt him turn the day before my appointment with her, but then after my visit with her, I had my midwife appointment - not only had he turned, but he has now settle nicely way down in to my pelvis. Wahoo!!!!

The Webster treatments actually feel amazing, the pain I've had in my low back for years has dissapeared. She says my body is responding extremely well to the treatment, and baby is now down low and in a great position. I am so happy!!!!

And all that worrying for nothing...

Just wanted to share. I highly recommend Webster for anyone who is breech or even if you had a difficult prior delivery. Turns out my pelvis has been misaligned for some time - helps explain my sunny-side-up and very difficult first birth. I swear I feel like a new woman.

ITA!!!

With the full moon on Saturday I had some labor that petered out but it was all in my back which wasn't really a surprise because baby is head down but on my right side = posterior. I went into my regular chiro visit today and told him about my back labor and that baby was on the right side and he did the Webster technique on me and I have felt great all day! I haven't had the chance to really lay down to see if baby has switched to the left but I have another chiropractic appointment on Wedsday and then a home visit with my MW Wednesday afternoon so I'll know then for sure

That's awesome!! I've always read great things about the WT and even recommended it to 2 friends....neither took my advice and ended up with c-sections. I'm glad your babe is in a good position now!

That's great that it worked for you!
I wish my chiro would do this technique on me. My baby isn't breech, but is posterior and he said that he wouldn't do it unless the baby was breech. He said being posterior is "not as serious" as breech, which I agree with, but it still could make my labor miserable.:

That really surprises me because Webster isn't about turning a breech baby. It's about brining the baby to an optimum birthing position which means not only is it best for you but best for baby as well. Baby is more likely to suffer subluxation if he or she is posterior at birth.
The Webster Technique is only a pressure point so I really don't get what the big deal is.

So glad it worked for you!
I'm still here with my breech baby after many Webster adjustments...in fact after number 3 or 4 the chiropractor told me that whatever it was that Webster is supposed to fix, I don't have - even though I do have a breech baby!
But, I have options in place for a breech birth, so I'm not freaking too much.

I just made a phone call to a chiro who does Webster, as per recommendation of my mw, just to open my hips, as my baby is in posterior.
My dd turned breech in the middle of the night when we were at 38.5 weeks! The next morning my water broke, before I could do anything to turn the baby, so had a csection.:
Now I'm planning a HB, and I'm super-aware of the babies position. Yay on your breech baby turning around!!
