DH's Grandpa Passed Away

So I'm at work and had a question for DH and I call his cell. We talk for about 3-4 minutes and he then he says, "Oh, I forgot to tell you Granpa Jerry passed away about an hour ago."

I mean just like that. I ask him if he's okay and he says yeah because his grandpa had very bad alzheimers and knows he's at peace finally. I guess if it were me I would be a little more shook up, but each to his own. So now I have to go and find clothes for us to wear to the wake and the funeral.

My Dh's grandpa just passed away yesterday. I came here to figure out how to deal with it with my children, because they will be going to the funeral, but I dont think I am taking them to the wake because it may be too much for them. Tomorrow we do the 4 hour traveling down there, and then thursday is the funeral. I am sorry for your loss....my children were not very close to their great grandfather but we have pictures of them together as newborns.
