Brand Names you use :)

Hi all-

I am looking for a list of brand name cleaning, cosmetics, and body care products that you use. I have been trying to change all my household items over to all-natural but it seems that every time I check out a new product that "claims" to be all natural, I find that it contains parabens, sulfates, talc, etc....and I am getting SOOOOOOO frustrated. : Sooooooo, I decided to talk to you well-informed to see what products you have researched and found you can trust

Products I have found that are actually natural (at least I hope they) are:

Burt's Bees (love, love, love the lip shimmers)
Seventh Generation
J/A/S/O/N (use the toothpaste and the orange skin care regimen)

Thanks for any help!

We use the following:

Seventh Generation (or 365 Whole Foods brand): Dishwasher Detergent, Dish Soap, All Purpose Cleaner, Laundry Detergent
Avalon Baby Organics or California Baby: Shampoo, Lotions, Sunscreen
Toms of Maine: Toothpaste and Deodorant
Giovanni Hair Care

Hope that helps!

Our family has used:
Tom's of Maine toothpaste.
Jason's - Tea tree oil, shampoo, conditioner
Aubrey Organics-shampoo conditioner
Everyday Minerals - makeup
I make most of our stuff, so I don't know much about brands. These are either things we tried while trying come up with homemade alternatives, or things that DH uses because he thinks homemade toothpaste is weird!!!

This is a great website for researching brands and products to see how natural and safe they really are.

I like bio-kleen for laundry and their bac-out enzyme cleaner for all kinds of things.

I trust Weleda for baby, but tend not to use much on him. I use their children's toothpaste.

I love Seventh Generation and really love their online COUPONS. They only allow you to print 2 of each about once a month, but it can save you lots of money.

Charlie's Soap - laundry

Dr. Bronners - soaps, lotions
Burt's Bees - shampoo, baby needs, lip balm

I like:

Trader Joe's house brand Dishwasher Gel, hand lotion and shampoo & conditioner. I also use some of their pump soaps and bar soaps. Their shaving gel is nice too. Oh, and their deoderant is good. And we use their sunscreen as it's mostly zinc oxide and not a lot of junk. (I'm a big TJs fan -- good stuff, not tested on animals, priced right)

Alba Botannicals Hawaiian line of body wash, scrub, lotion, cream for my body

Aveda for my face

California Baby lotion for DD
J/A/S/O/N Shampoos for both my DC (DS uses the kids one, DD uses the no-fragrance line)

Seventh Generation shower spray
Ecover Laundry stain stick, wool wash, non-chlorine bleach
Kiss My Face pump soaps
Tom's of Maine toothpaste for DS
Nutribiotic Dental Gel for DD
Mrs. Meyer's cleanser, Dishwasher gel, dishwashing liquid, toilet cleaner
Holy Cow cleaners www.holycowproducts.com
Dr. Bronner's to make cleaning supplies
Weleda diaper cream for DS (he's still not potty trained)

I also use some Method products on occasion.

I've heard great things about Whole Foods' 365 Line. Now that they've bought Wild Oats, I suspect a few of those products will find their way into our house.

i love the smells of burt's bees too but so far, none of their skincare products have work for me. and the baby products have fragrances so i can't use it on my baby and daughter. they have sensitive (encezma) skin.

i love bb's ginger body wash though.

we're also trying to go natural (or eco-friendly) and have these brands:

:: california baby (baby wash, bubble bath, and spf) rated great on ewg.org
:: method home products from target (cleaner, shower spray, dish soap, laundry detergents, etc)
:: giovanni organics for hair care and body wash
:: desert essence for skin care and mouthwash, touthpaste
