Does anyone subscribe to this magazine? If so - do you like it???

I used to subscribe to it. It is definitely a barebones country living type of magazine. The pages are newsprint, not glossy, and you won't see celebrities living in greened mansions like you do in Mother Earth News, lol.

All in all it is less marketing for trendy ecofriendly luxury items and more catered toward people living in the country without a lot of frills. It doesn't come from a progressive slant either so you won't expect a lot of articles on peak oil or that sort of thing. I've seen neat things though like how to make your own washer for less than $100 (similar to the jamestown washers that sell for $500) or how to make your own woodstove. I guess you could say the articles are more about making things than buying them and lots of articles on raising livestock.

I liked it okay but I guess I prefer something a little less rough around the edges and more progressive but not as trendy with celebrities on the cover like Mother Earth News. It all depends on what your needs are.
