In the shower, I scrub my pits with baking soda, rinse, then splash diluted apple cider vinegar and rinse. After shower, I put on a little coconut oil as deoderant, and it's working well so far . . . Good luck!

I recently ditched the aluminum stuff and bought a Thai deodorant stone/crystal. I researched a bit on the boards here and found that it works best if you apply it when you're totally clean (using bs to wash with is best) and rub it on for around twenty seconds on each side. So far, so good! A lot of people said they went through a detox period, but since you've been using natural stuff, that may not be true for you.

I'm completely impressed with it. No stinkies, at all. And apparently, the stone will last for quite a long time.

Funk Butter!!! I swear by it. It keeps me 100% dry, it's non-irritating, natural, and smells delicious.

About how long does a contanier of the Funk butter last? Also, does it leave white behind?...I wear a lot of tank tops in the summer

I like Tom's of Maine unscented. It's sold even in some mainstream stores, like Rite Aid and Target.

I love the aroma free-deodorant by miessence. It compares to the keihls deodorant I used to use. Too bad that one has all the bad stuff in it. I found this one to replace it, and I really love it. They also have two scents.

check it out! www.planetgreen.mionegroup.com

I'd love to hear more about Funk Butter too! I just saw an Ad in a Vegetarian Magazine and im curious!
I've been using just straight Baking Soda. It works great, but, leaves white powder all over me. WIth spring/summer I dont want white powder under my arms.

Funk butter dries quickly (or goes on dry almost) and leaves no white residue. I haven't had mine long, but you don't need much, so it's not like I"m plowing through the small supply. It's a little pricey I think (even for handmade, small company things, for which I expect to pay more) but I'm realizing it's really worth it. It's really amazing- works better than even the decent stuff I've found (the body crystal for instance). If I shower in the a.m. and use it, and don't get around to a shower the next morning (yes it's true sometimes) then I'm still smelling pleasant next afternoon. Otherwise I'm stinky like, within hours, sans deodorant or with the standard "natural" brands.

I adore the funk butter!

OK, I'm wanting about a million things from the Oyin website (that makes the Funk Butter). Does anyone who uses Funk Butter, which I'm definitely getting, having recommendations for other products there? They all look wonderful, but I suppose I shouldn't buy them .... at least not the first time!

I like the Crystal Deodrant--- just moisten under water and apply. My clothes are not stained anymore and I am very happy with product. I am also very sensitive to fragrance so I love that it is not scented.

I am having some of the same problems as the OP. I have very sensitive skin and my pits are peeling. I've been using natural deoderant for over two months and I like it, but I am finding that I need to slather lotion on b/c of dry skin (used to use Dove and that had lotion in it). Currently I use Tom's Lavender and Jason's Aloe Vera. I like them, I am just peeling...

I've had great success with the toms roll on Lemongrass however some of the other scents don't work as well.
