I am moving to Ashland in a few weeks and I am looking for ppl who do AP. I am going to be going to the LLL meetings in Columbia( can't decide on mornings or evenings) and I just wanted to see if anyone else was around.

I know this was posted a looong time ago, but I just wanted to mention that Ashland has a bf support group in town at Namaste. I think they meet the 1st Tues. of the month at 7...or is it Thurs? Yikes...check the Boone county Journal. It's in there each week.

Just decided that we are moving to Columbia this summer. Should be an interesting adjustment after living in Santa Fe, and I am also hoping to find mamas who aren't too offended by my non-circ, cding, composting, hbing lifestyle (my parents - Columbia residents themselves - think I'm a freak ;-)

Also looking for realtor leads - we'll be looking for a low-cost home near the med school (biking distance, anyway) that is at least 3 bed, 1400 sq ft, and preferably walking distance to interesting things other than large suburban yards!

Not to hijack the thread but does anyone in central missouri nurse past two years old? I REALLY need to meet someone who does not see this as strange.

Finding LLL will help with that.

If it makes you feel any better DD is nearing 2 and isn't showing signs of weaning.

I can not seem to find a time that works for me in Re: LLL I would love to go. Was gonna go to the last one tuesday but alas time escaped me and it just did not work out again.

I have been trying to get to a meeting since daughter was 2 months old.

We're out here but few and far between. I'm not nursing anymore but I nursed my ds to 3.5.

I was homeschooled for several years while living in columbia. I will ask my mom if she knows of any groups. I am sure there are some.

nursing

My son is turning 2 July 7th...and still nursing strong. Just remember...most toddlers nurse at home...so it is not as obvious as infants. Never feel alone.

Jen~ It is nice to meet you. maybe we columbia moms can come up with a playdate sometime. I think i might start a yahoo group for playgroups in this area:. We had one in NC and we loooooved it. I will post the link on here if anyone is interested unless you all know of one already then i would love to know about it. While moving in the military that was the first thing we did was find playgroups so the kids could meet other kids and i could meet other moms.

There is a group that meets at the birth center on some Saturday each month (I forget which) and they have playdates also, PM me for more info. (dont like posting that sort of stuff on public boards)
