My EDD is tomorrow and I feel like nothing is happening, is anyone else feeling this way? I have not lost my mucus plug, I'm hardly having any bh's or contractions. I can't take this anymore. This baby needs to be born.

Just think: you can join us kvetching on the 40+ weekers thread
i know it's frustrating when you want the baby to come NOW. But it's very normal to go past your EDD. I read somewhere recently that the average for first babies is to be born at 41 weeks. Don't get too antsy yet - try to relax, as annoying as that is to hear
: Stay active, eat pineapple and take evening primrose oil, DTD often... the baby will come.

I know I need to just relax and she'll come when she's ready, but this is my 4th baby and none have been early and I was really really hope for this one to be a little early. I'll head over to the 40+ group to complain some more.

Hi, I'm lurking from July DDC and saw your post. This is the way I lost my mucus plug with ds1 and went into labor that night...
I was practicing my breathing techniques recommended by 'Birthing From Within' as an exercise to stay calm through contractions. Basically you hold a piece of ice in your hand as long as possible and breathe through the discomfort (pretty uncomfortable really!) Anyway I was doing this for about 5 minutes when suddenly I fely something 'down there' and rushed to the bathroom to find my mucus plug had come out! I truly believe that I tricked my body into thinking I was in labor. Try it! Good luck

I totally feel your frustration. This is my second baby and my first was early so I expected this one to be here by now. I want this baby out NOW!
