Progesterone level

I have a question for anybody who's had a progesterone level done in early pregnancy (if anybody has). I had bloodwork on cd21 (aka 7 dpo and it really was exactly 7 dpo) and it was high, according to my doctor (she thought I could be pregnant based on those numbers). I don't know the exact number, but does anybody know if progesterone levels are higher with multiples early in pregnancy or if some pregnancies just come in at higher numbers early on?

I'm getting an ultrasound right after my 8 week appointment (which will be my first) to confirm the number of babies, but I'm wondering if the progesterone number would give me a clue. Any thoughts? If anybody's wondering I'd be perfectly thrilled with more than one. I'm mostly just curious.

Hi, I am waiting for my results to come back too. I am calm. I have decided to be positive. I hope everything is great for you.
Wishing you all a happy Saturday.

I'm not sure if the progesterone levels reflect the possibility of twins. I have heard the HCG levels can be more predictive of this. I had a blood draw at 15DPO and my progesterone was 34.6 which they said was really great. Had an u/s yesterday and there's only one in there. So a high progesterone level didn't mean twins for me..

Congrats!!!

Thanks Stacey. Am I the only one who is scared of twins? My two are 2 years apart, I can't imagine having two infants at the same time. :

I used to be terrified of twins, but not any more. I'll take whatever I'm given at this point.

After 16 months worth of trying, I could have two babies by now anyway, so I'd take twins if that's what I got. I'd probably be thrilled any which way at this point. Clomid really is a magic drug.
