Pregnant with #1 in our 30s - Page 3

popbaby - Congratulations! Sorelle is so beautiful, and you do so absolutely in love in her first photos. Thank you so much for the advice. I love hearing from new first-time mothers.

All of you who have this u-shaped body pillow, does it look like this one and/or this one? They look so comfy. Might have to invest in the notions to sew of these!
aha, mine was a snoogle not snoodle...
Eeeeeenteresting!!
These pillows could explain why I have been much more comfortable sleeping with one pillow between my upper arms (as if I am hugging it) and one between my legs.

I should really get one of those. My husband is going to laugh his ass off seeing that though.

Hey Charlie!!
Welcome the group!!

The body pillow I used was not the snoogle...very similar though...it is called the Back & Belly http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw...ds=body+pillow

The great thing is you can switch sides and have the same support, whereas with pillows, you would have to move the pillows as you move. I just loved it...the only negative: it's hard to put the sheet on & off when you wash it, but it's worth it.

Ladies, I have developed a nasty cold! I was told Actifed was fine to take, but that didn't do anything. :

Any advice?

Becky, I have read that those short-acting nasal sprays are okay. In general, www.motherisk.org is a good resource for that kind of info.

Wow!

This thread is Hopping!

I just got a BFP this morning, I'm 31, and this is my first pregnancy!

Can I join the fun? This looks like the perfect place for me!

-Michelle.

CONGRATULATIONS! That was the fun part. What are you and DP doing to celebrate? We went to a used bookstore and bought pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding books, and then we went out to dinner, where the guy at the next table commented to DH that I was so ready to have kids!

Michelle!!! Congrats! I hadn't even checked into the TTC in our 30s thread to see that you got your BFP! Wonderful!

PiePie, thanks! I took some benedryl and took a nap. Seems I feel better when I'm napping! I'm going to eat some dinner and maybe hit the sack again.

I don't know!

We'll have to plan something!

Ooooh!

The used bookstore idea sounds great though...

Yay Michelle! So glad you joined us!

The used bookstore does sound like a good idea... maybe I need to do the same thing.

Becky benadryl always knocks me out but sometimes rest is the best thing. Hope you feel better soon!

Hey Dee~ Thanks for starting this thread and inviting me over. Really perfect idea.

I am now 12w5d. Belly bump is noticeable if I wear tight shirts, but to me it just looks like I'm fat. I've gained about 7 pounds so far. The m/s is starting to ease up, finally. : Now I just have annoying indigestion. And I don't have to run to the bathroom so often....so at least 2nd trimester is starting to be a bit more enjoyable. But this extra weight is so weird. I have never been this heavy before and it just feels so strange.

Hi to Everyone and all the TTC #1 in our 30's Grads!

I really want to hear about what is going on with all the graduates, so I hope it is ok if I :

Can I join in the fun?
Thanks for this thread. I recoginize some from TTC and my DDC.

I'm 36 (37 in 2 months) and 15 weeks & 4days with first:

I really need help with the clothing issues. I can't wear my preprego pants, not even with the bella band and the couple of OldNavy maternity jeans I bought don't work so much b/c the low rise panel, so I wear the bella band with them just to hide the plummers crack issue :
Anyhow, I went into BabyRUs today b/c it was suppose to be the nearest "motherhood" store too. Talk about slim pickns'. Around the corner was Target and not much luck there either. I'm not a very patient shopper, except when it comes to shoes So where to next? And does it make sense to buy now? Guess there is no choice, if your clothes don't fit. Even the shirts are starting to get shorter but I don't need a big maternity top yet. All so confusing. Any advice? Oh, what about bras? Do I buy a maternity bra now?
Sorry for the rant. I also have a family event this weekend that I'm trying to dress for as well. Funny, I have the new shoes!

Great idea on the body pillow. I have lower back issues and sleep with a pillow under my knees. It would be great to not have to move it around in the night when I move. Those body pillows look so comfy too!

Becky, I had a cold last week and took "Cold Calm" which is homeopathic and some great herbal tea called "Gypsy Cold Care". Hope you feel better!

Does anybody else get really extreme temperature swings? My temp right now is 99.8 and I feel like I could melt. I normally run a high temp anyway (around 99.2) but this is crazy. Is it just because my temps are so high to start with or do some of you get this too?

Congrats Michelle! I'm so glad more are joining us over here!!!

I don't have a lot of time to check in. I have been reading the posts, but I've been busy at work, and really tired at home. I've also had pretty bad morning sickness, that seems to get worse as the day goes on.

I'm 10 weeks today, so I'm hoping only a few weeks of m/s are left. Only another week and a half until I will finally get to hear the heartbeat. I decided to take that whole day off from work, since I figure I won't be able to concentrate at work after my appt.

Becky - I hope you are feeling better!

Thanks for the welcome everyone!

I just got off the phone with my CNMW and made my first two appointments! So Exciting!

Still so early here, not much to report, except the bloating from the gas is making me feel bigger already! And I know it's all gas and bloat....whew.
I like your username Michelle, very appropriate now that you're pregnant too!

I'm so excited...this is day feeling good #2 (so far at least). Also, I took a new belly pic this morning and was pleased to see that though I thought I was getting smaller (because my bloat is lessening), my real bump is starting to show up. YIPPY!!!

If you're interested, you can see my belly growth through the link in my siggy. Today is 11w2d.
