Love the playrooms!! Right now we are all in one tiny room in ILs basement, but when we move, I'll post pics. Anyone else have any inspiration pics?

I think it would be a great project, inexpensive and pretty easy. I am going to look more closely at it to get a real sense of the construction, and try to mimick it as closely as possible. I'll post plans if I am successful.

Funny I was just thinking of completely rehauling (re-doing) my 4 year old daughter, and 3 year old son's shared room. So I was going to post to get some inspiration on making the children's bedroom more Waldorf. I have plenty of acorn caps, pinecones, stones, rocks, wood (dh and I have a tree service) but one thing I am cringing on is the replacement of their bedroom carpet. I want to put wide plank pine flooring down but have no idea the cost, or how much this will set us back. I think though for now if I just take a look at all of your wonderful photos then my mind will start turning

No way, me too! I mean that there was an outlet here . . . but I never saw a rainbow house

I'm working on slowly converting my dd's space. The nasty old carpet is still there, but we're using a comforter like a big area rug to cover it, LOL. The main non-waldorf thing now is a pink collapsable Disney Princess playhouse . . . but hey, it was free which is far more in line with our budget than the Waldorf ones LOL.
I'll post some of our St. Patrick's day visit from the Leprechauns pics where you can see their room. Oh, and there are still plastic Disney fairies but, again, free so I deal with them until we can slowly do the old replace-and-disappear trick :

wow, awesome rooms! very inspiring! im trying to make dc's room more waldorfy as i start to learn more about it. my mom just got them 2 new electronic toys : so...it's definitely a work in progress!

What a fun and beautiful room! I think it's great! My suggestion would be to paint the walls, if you can to a warm spongie color.

OMG dear family friends giifted us with playstands from Willowtree for my birthday!!!
Here are some pics of my girls playing this morning
ETA: the first pictures (the ones before the playstand ones) are at a local Waldorf toystore (Kinderhaus Toys, for anyone in SE Virginia) making felt easter eggs for Spring. The dark haired lady is not me, but the owner of the store.
