Nothing feels good!!!

I've just started having some nasty contractions later at night (starting with last night) and am at a TOTAL loss as to how to comfortably labor!!! : I DESPISE sitting on the toilet even when needed b/c the gravity puts so much pressure it hurts too bad...so it only makes sense that having something solid under my behind would feel good right? Noooooooooooo! : And if I am caught unawares while laying down - I almost feel helpless b/c I can't move until it's over! This is my third full pregnancy - what is up??? One would think I would know what to do by now! :

I really like leaning forward... I guess I'd actually need some kind of birthing stool... and the bath REALLY REALLY helps. You should see my bills.

Yeah - I'm usually the one to open the windows and doors rather than turn on the air - but boy am I shooting up the water bill!

Yeah leaning forward is the only thing that helps me. Sitting on the toliet hurts too, which is why I never liked the birth stool. SItting in a chair is ok, if I don't lean back. Birth ball is nice too.

I've found that getting into the hand/knees position and either rocking or making circles with my hips really helps. It seems to take the pressure off my pelvis. Also, modifications like bending over and resting my elbows on the bed and rocking my hips helped. These got me to 9 cm with my last baby. Anything that pulled the weight of the baby forward a little seemed to help relax me. Good luck and feel better! You are almost there!

I think of all the 3rd world children that would love to drink the water I'm wasting, but I swear I'll make it up by conserving elsewhere another time...oh how I wish I could just sleep wrapped up in warm shower water. I think I'll go dehydrate some more 3rd world children right now, middle of the day...these false contractions are wearing on me. I'm tired of wondering if they're false any more. My body doesn't seem to be aware for the fairy tale titled "the boy who cried wolf"

Oooooh - the on the floor rocking DOES feel so good!!! I've been trying to sit forward more too - but the urge to lay back when pooped out is so hard to ignore!

I was in church sunday and was SOOO uncomfortable - what I wouldn't give to see my pastor's face if I were to get up and go on all fours just for some relief!!
