| I lived very many years exactly as you described. Living for some future joy. But what having a child has helped me to value is living for present joy. Not at the expense of future joy. But by reframing the choices in the present to give value to the present. And not at the expense of creating future regrets. The key to reframing this has been moving from decision making out of a place of Fear. Fear of some future loss. Or fear of some future regret about the past. Toward making decisions due to Trusting in the value of having a joyful life. Trusting that if I nurture a joyful life today (for myself and our son and my husband), and do the same the 'today' after this, and the 'today' after, I *will* create a future filled with joyful days and a past filled with joyful days. I can honestly say, Trust is a much happier place than the worry of every 'what if' of tomorrow, AND the rumination of every 'might have been' of yesterdays. Because all we really know we have is today. And I have learned to Trust that tomorrow will be joyful, because joy is a priority and a value to me. And I have learned to Trust that yesterday will be remembered with joy because I am choosing from a place of joy in the present, every day. It is a paradigm shift toward 'wanting what you have' rather than 'having what you want'. It will be ok. Trust that. It was very hard for me to learn to do. I had too many years of living with 'what if's' and fear of 'or else'. |

Check out Taradactyl.
She has recently manifested this for herself! Welcome, noorjahan! |
recently, she is in 6+month ttc months thread, but didn't know about the manifesting thing...that's cool!!!

: for your re-post

) So they came in and hung out for awhile, and then we all went out and walked them part way home, then looped around a longer way back to our house. Just after we parted ways, ds (who was riding in the Ergo on my back) said he wanted to meet animals on our walk. So dh and I said things like "we'll just have to see" and on we went. And ds saw some imaginary animals, which was fun, but then we saw two women who were walking 4 little dogs! (real ones) and one of them was a black lab puppy which is what ds has decided he wants when we get a dog (after we manifest a house and he's using the potty regularly). So we stopped and said hello to them. You should've seen the delight on ds's face! He is a great little manifester!
and to get outside and take a walk every day, and to appreciate the Universe who is taking care of everything else, and smoothing my path and lighting it up for me.

:We are on our way home from our house hunting trip and I'm signing in from an internet hot spot in an airport! I feel so hip and cool! later, Linda |

This is so cheesy and self-absorbed of me to re-post this, but I really wanted it to be part of the new thread too, as a reminder to myself and all of us!!

This is the first time posting in Laws of Attraction thread (I think,
![]() ![]() ).But all I want to attract now in my life is ![]() I'm really really praying hard to God to just grant my wish and I know I'll have it before I know it! ![]() |

I am reading "Clear Your Clutter with Feng Shui" by Karen Kingston which I
![]() ![]() . For the first time in my life, my clutter is starting to drive me nuts instead of making me feel prepared like it always has (could I have a huge-er indicator of the transformation I am undergoing? ). A very interesting point she makes is that clutterbugs like me are shielding themselves with STUFF the way some overweight people protect themselves with fat. |

So here's my question: In the book she talks about a single woman whose house was filled with ducks, but they were all solitary ducks; just like in The Secret when the man had all the pictures of women turning away from him ("I do not look at you!" Talk about your great accents -- I love her). Both of these people got rid of their single Feng Shui and found love.I don't HAVE any of this stuff! I really don't. Could I be missing something? OR is there any way I could create Feng Shui to ATTRACT a husband, rather than removing something that's blocking it? (Meanwhile, I've been making a conscious effort to keep the front seat of my car clean and I have had more dates in the past few weeks than in the past year!) |
|
Well, the car seat is definitely symbolic.
I just listened to a show on Hay House a few days ago where people were affirming and doing all the LOA stuff and still not getting what they wanted and it was because of underlying beliefs. Since learning about LOA, have you taken stock of what you believe about relationships? Do you feel worthy and deserving of a relationship? Are you content with where you are and in the place of receiving? If you don't have anything underlying it...then just trust the universe, be patient and listen for cues to take action to connect with that special person. And in the meantime, everyone you date will have some qualities you like and some you don't. Remember, when you know what you DON'T want, then it's easy to manifest what you DO want. The thing about using LoA to attract a relationship is that the other person has to be ready too. But, when you are both ready....it will happen! And, it will be worth the wait! Oh, and if you find him before my Mr.Right comes along...could you ask if he has a single brother for me?!?!?! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I found this old post of mine and thought I'd repost, since that is fashionable.

| Morning folks! Busy weekend and I am here at my mom's house where I spent the night with dd last night because dh had a gig pretty far away and we just have the one car (FOR NOW, I am so grateful for it too ) -- so last night my mom watch dd while I went for coffee with my best friend for over 15 years who, when I hang out with her raises my vibration to a crazy degree because we have so much fun together and we laugh and laugh --- We manifested some awesome stuff this week -- dh manifested a new teaching position at a music school which is only THREE miles from our house as opposed to the 18 miles away where he is teaching now --- he is slowly transitioning students and when he is at this new teaching school full time it is FOUR more dollars an hour YAY!! It is so much closer so we will be saving over $100 a month in gas/tolls -- PLUS the extra time spent as a family because this teaching school is only about a 10 minute drive where the other one is about a 40 minute drive!! ANNNNNNNNND... we are in the process of joining the local YMCA, the one in our city and the ones in the surrounding areas are AWESOME, so clean/open/chock full of activities/indoor pools/yoga/classes for toddlers etc ---- well since we didn't make much the past two years on our taxes (which is changing, we are abundant!) we qualify for a reduced monthly rate and a waived membership fee wooo hooooooo .... What else? OH, my best friend's husband is a general contractor and asked my husband to be a qualifier for his company -- basically, some years ago my husband was a certified roofing contractor and owned his own business which just wasn't the right thing for us --- but if he is a qualifier for bf's husband's company basically they use his license (legally of course) and just send us checks. I will be like that Australian guy in the Secret "neeeew eee only geeet chicks" (now I only get checks) lol We are truly blessed and I really know the meaning of the phrase "you can have everything you want as long as you don't need it" -- and how nothing new can come into your life until you live in a spirit of gratitude Love it! Oh and *reach* always works for me too! It's spooky! (in a good way of course ) Much love! Tara |
