What has been the corporate reaction to "Supersize Me" and "Fast Food Nation"?

Does anyone know? I was really blown away by the book/movie "Fast Food Nation" and the movie "Supersize Me". Does anyone know what kind of impact these movies/books are making? I am curious if corporate fast food is just hoping things will "blow over" and "go back to normal" or are they trying to counter?

Well, one of McD's first acts was to end the "supersize" size for food. But otherwise, there seem to be a lot of smear campaigns and denials.

Here are some other articles I found:

From Publishers Weekly.

PBS's Frontline program.

Resources from a college course on controversial topics.

I think they had some effect. McDonald's now has nutritional info on the packaging... which came after SuperSize me. NYC is going to require big restaurants and chains to post their calorie info right on their menus. Will it change anything??? I don't know... but at least people will be making more informed choices. http://www.physorg.com/news92127921.html

Since SuperSize Me, the chains have all introduced healthier options for their kids meals... like fruit as a side, low-fat milk as a beverage, etc.
