Help! Away from DD and no pump for about 8 hours!!!

I have no idea what to do. I hope some of you can help me. I have to go on a field trip with some students (high school) and so I'm not going to be able to pump when I usually do. Usually I pump at 7:30 (when I get to school) then at 10:45 (lunch) and she comes out to nurse at 1:15, then I nurse again when I get home (4:00) so my supply has been more or less kept up well. Well, Tuesday, I have to be with my kids ALL DAY. Mom said she could bring dd out to where we are at lunchtime and I could go nurse her in the car (only once at about 12:30 for maybe a 1/2 hour) but that's all I'd get until 4:00. It's not an option to nurse while we're on the field trip. I'm just going pump at 7:30, and nurse at 12:30 and 4 and hope for the best, but will one day seriously compromise my supply? Just wondering because we're struggling with supply as it is. Thanks for any help.

Wow that sounds tough! Are there going to be other teachers there? Maybe you can have one of the other teachers watch your kids for 20 minutes while you go find a place to pump. What about at lunch time? My main concern would be your extreme discomfort and risking plugged duct or mastitis. ((HUGS)) I hope you can find a way to pump.

Is it possible to take a cup and hand express? At least you can get rid of some of the pressure. Hope this works out for you!

Duh!

I'll take my Isis! I haven't used it yet, so I forgot I even had it! I'll just take a backpack to hold it all, but it's supposed to get up to 75 tomorrow. I have a little pack with ice, but I'll pump way more than it will hold. Is that pretty hot or will it be okay for 4 hours or so? Thanks again!

It should be fine with the ice packs.

I've pumped anywhere and everywhere with my Isis, just throwing a recieving blanket over my shoulder.

Have you used it before? Do yourself a favour and give it a test run tonight. You don't want to get stuck during your trip. For some reason I see you hiking through the woods...
