45 minute labor, UC homebirth - and it's a GIRL!!!

I gave birth around 7:45 this morning to a sweet little GIRL. She came a bit quicker than anticipated after 45 minutes of labor and was born into the hands of her mama and papa in our bedroom, quite a magical experience! We were planning a birthcenter birth, but had a falling out with the midwife and didn't know what we were going to do about labor and birth. Things have a way of working out.

Her EDD was 3/28, but she didn't want to wait that long. Her name is Isabella Margaret, daddy calls her Izzy. She weighs 6 pounds 15 ounces and is 20 inches long. Mama, baby, and family are doing well.

I am so happy to hear that the birth went so quickly and well... I can relate after Jasper's quick arrival. Enjoy your babymoon... be at rest and soak up that newborn glory while it lasts!
