Shipping EBM?( x-posted everywhere I can think of)

A dear friend is deploying with the airforce for six weeks, and she is NOT interested in weaning her 15 month old DD. She is looking for info on shipping EBM, possibly frozen home so her DH can cup feed her DD at night. DD is nursing up a storm right now, and her supply is on overdrive, so she is not worried about expressing while she is away. We are hoping she will be able top re-establish BFing routines when she returns. She will be in Mississippi, 12 miles from the nearest FED-EX, and she is willing to take a cab if she has to in order to ship it home to Connecticut. The problem is, we don't know how to go about doing this. Any suggestions?

The best thing is to store the milk in milk storage bags (like Lansinoh), then pack the milk bags in a ziploc (helps protect the storage bags from getting holes, wrap the ziplocs in newspaper (further protects the bags from damage and insulates), then pack in a cooler with dry ice. Prepare the package in the afternoon and drop it off for shipping overnight. I did this with 400 oz of BM when I moved across the country and it didn't thaw at all.
