Milk duct problem?

Today I found a white spot on my nipple that was painful, like a pimple. It was also hard. Does anyone know what this is? I am in a panic.

It sounds like a plugged duct trying to come out *or* a milk bleb.

Apply a warm compress to the affected breast just before nursing as well as during if you can. Your goal is to get rid of the bleb/plug. if the warm compress doesn't work right away, then you can sterilize a pin and use it to GENTLY poke/peal the tip of the bleb off. Nurse right away after doing this to clear the ducts.

Switch babes nursing positions often and nurse as much as you can, especially on the affected breast/nipple. Regardless of the issue, avoiding nursing will no doubt make it worse.
