type of sewing thread?

I just realized there is a diaper making forum... this is probably a better place for this question than the general forum where I got no response.

My MIL is going to cut out patterns from my flat diapers that I no longer use for use in my pocket diapers as stuffers.

I just wondered if the stitching matters, like what kind of thread she uses...

I'm thinking it doesn't matter, but thought I would ask in case I'm wrong, as far as durability, or I don't know what else.

Thanks for any thoughts!

with stuffers, it should matter...

No, for stuffers it won't matter. It's only important to use polyester if you're making pockets, AIOs, covers, etc where you don't want the thread towick wetness outside of the waterproof layer.

It really doesn' matter what thread you choose for a soaker.
