Is it healthy to conceive on first ppo (more than a year pp)?

ds just turned 1, so I think I've had plenty of time to recover from my last pregnancy. But is my body really optimally prepared on the first ppo, or would it be better to wait for a few cycles? Does anyone know of hard data addressing this question?

My middle child was concieved before I ever had a PP period. I know you're more likely to concieve multiples on your first PPO, because of coming back into fertility.

Logically, why would there be any difference in quality between two eggs both created while you were in utero, but released two months apart?

Best wishes!

We have four kids---and the last three were all conceived on the first PPO, not even a cycle yet. Gads, they are awesome kids and perfect in every way and gorgeoooouusss.....not that I'm biased but I know that the first PPO has been kind to US! Anyway, it's totally safe. Mother Nature is pretty smart that way.

I think that if youre bodys not ready, you wont concieve. Fertility can return gradually. EX: you o but your luteal phase isnt long enough for implantation to occur. After DD we ttc for several months and since I was charting I knew that my luteal phase was too short, even had we fertilzed, the egg never had a chance to implant, first cycle it was long enough we conceived. (I know that generally the luteal phase is extrememly consistent for each woman, but the exception to that is with returning fertility). Now, after ds2 I figured it'd be the same but no, I had my first pp period when ds2 was 18mos old and two weeks after that we were pregnant! Who knows why it took longer after dd (thought she was younger and therefore nursing more? Dunno, but my periods came back when she was like six months old though with ds2 I was tandem nursing which may explain how long it took for af to come back. Who knows?)

Anyway, not sure there is any hard data out there, other than they do say its safter to put a three year interval between pregnancies, but I think that applies more to other countries where women dont have adequate nutrition and health care like we do here. Hope that helps!

There was some study indicating it is best to wait 18-23 months after giving birth before ttc. Not sure why there's an upper cap (23 months). Some women don't even start cycling until 2 years or more... So in my opinion, it doesn't sound to accurate or in line with natural family living, but just thought I'd throw it out there.

To those who conceived on your first ppo, did you have fertility signs (cm, temperature)?
