Sierra has taken a turn for the worse. She aspirated into her lungs and caused alot of damage to them. She is now back on the oscillator(high frequency ventilator) and will be for the next 3-4 weeks or until she can grow some healthy lung tissue. Her reflux is out of control and we did change her meds although we stopped feeds as well until she has 3 days of prevacid and reglan in her system. We dont even know if that will make it any better. If by 40 weeks she is still having lots of reflux then she will have surgery to make it so she cant reflux. They did another trachael aspirate and we dont have the results but we could be looking at another case of pneumonia. She has been sedated since last night because she fights the vent and is inconsolable. They brought her out of sedation tonight but as soon as she starts fighting it again she will be sedated again. Her chances for survival have decreased and we need lots of prayers that she makes it out of this infection and recovers.
