Mel L~ That is SO FUNNY about your dad and his ice cream!!!
Sage is starting to be so much more active lately. I think she flipped head down recently because I am feeling all sorts of movement under my rib cage. I also think I felt her butt in my ribs when I was driving Jakobi to school this morning.. there was a distinctive hard lump in that area.

I had to call 911 yesterday afternoon.. we had a group of young guys hanging out outside our backyard fence and it made me uncomfortable. I didn't call until they broke into a big fight though.. the response time was excellent. I think they got here in under 2 minutes which is spectacular considering when I've had to call when we lived on the other side of town it was usually at least 5 minutes for anyone to get there. It sucks that I had to call though.

This is the weirdest baby ever! You know how "normal" babies move here and there, all day, and when you try to have someone feel them move, they stop?... Well, this baby doesn't move for LONG periods of time (it's really scary), and then when she wakes up... HOLY S**T!!! She'll kick like a mad cat for about 1 hour!!! EVERYTIME I wake up and my adrenaline gets pumping, she wakes up and starts going! It's so awesome, b/c anytime she's kicking, I can just say to anyone near me, "Hey, wanna feel the baby move?" and they can take their sweet 'ole time getting to me, put their hand on my belly, and she's still kicking! Last night, dh came to bed, I put his hand on my belly (which with the other babies, they'd always stop at this point, and he wouldn't get to feel them kick), well, she was going off on him! He was like "Oh my God, Keri, Jee and Peter NEVER did this!" then he tried to talk to her and kiss her, and she kicked him in the lips, repeatedly! Could it be that both my others are the same sign (Capricorn), and this one's different? Very weird! I feel like I know her already!

Keri, Maybe she's the typical Leo (like me loves the attention!
That's the thing... both of my kids are Caps and both dh and I are Leos! I was hoping she would come after her due date, so we can have another little Leo running around. I was afraid if she came before her due date, and was a Cancer (which I get along GREAT with, BTW), that she'd feel like the odd one out! I am due 7-22, which should be right around the cusp... I'm SO curious to see what her date of birth is going to be! Actually, though, I think she's just going to be like dh. I swear, if he were born today, he'd be thrown on Ritalin faster than a cat-shot-in-the-a$$, I KNOW he's ADHD. He goes and goes and goes, but when he crashes, he dies and then gets reincarnated hours later! This is her personality!!! She goes and goes and goes and goes and then just falls dead asleep for a long time! (you should've seen her on both ultrasounds, all snuggled up, nothing could wake her up... NOTHING!) We'll see!!!

Keri I'm almost hoping I have her on my birthday.. I thought that would be great to share with my daughter. It's possible too considering I'm due the 23rd and my birthday is August 2nd.. it's either that or I thought it would be great to have her on our anniversary! That's the 25th. We'll see but I think I'm just as anxious to know WHEN!

Nic~ Didn't you say before that you never went into labor on your own? So., really, you have NO IDEA when YOUR body would go into labor, naturally, right? Indeed, that will be interesting! I had Jee 5 wks. early, and Peter 2 days before his due date, so I'm so curious as to when I'll have her!
hehe I'm a bit nervous about the going into labor on my own thing.. but it's got to be better than what I've been through! I've heard girl's are different.. in my family they typically come around their due date, boys on the other hand like to hang out in there.
i havent gone into REAL active labor on my own either.

this time i am hanging out until it happens. ok, IF i hit 43 weeks i will do some nipple stim and sex to get the ball rolling, thats IT!.

i know my body can do it.

and so can yours Nic.

i just made the BEST smoothies ever this morning. lots of strawberry stonyfield farms yogurt, some milk, a frozen banana, two ripe bananas, a splash of oj, some mango kombucha and a tbsp of peach flavored CLO(yes i caved. i KNOW its what we need, even if i feel the guilt) and it served all three of us with full bellies. and it was SO tasty!!!!! mmm mmm mmm tomorrow i am throwing in one leaf of kale. and maybe some frozen pineapple. if i go buy some.
WOW... that sounds delicious!!!
Be careful of too much nipple stimulation, you could cause hypercontractions. Look up how much is appropriate.
Okay.. the ice cream story is just too funny (yep, I peed a little). The fact that it was a church function is the best part of the story!!!
I have Blue Bell here- I love it! It reminds me of when I was little and my sister and I would go to my great-grandmother's house after school. We would always get an ice cream cone.
So, when I get bored, I become destructive! I just decided this morning to go buy a new storm door for the front. I can get the old one off easily, but I can't hold the new one up in place by myself, so I am going to have to con someone into helping me. I know that dh will not even lift a finger since I am the Bob Vila around here. But, I am going to have fun at least! Plus, I got a new doorbell that I'm going to install. The prob with that is that I have to turn off the electric. See where I am going with this?? I have an addiction! I can't even turn the computer off long enough to do it! Yikes!
This evening we have to go to the funeral home. Our mail man had a heart attack Wednesday and when he was at the hospital he ended up having a stroke and dying. I've known him all my life (small town) and go to church with him. This won't be any fun.
On a lighter note, anyone know how to install a new door? Surely you just screw in the frame and then put the door on it's hinges, right?!
Assuming the doorframe fits perfectly into the existing space, yes. Sometimes you have to shave a bit off, or shim some areas. But in a perfect world, that's how it goes. And even my DH needed my help holding the door while he attached it, so make sure you get someone to do that for you while to use the tools.

Pink- Does that make you Barbara Villa??? My sis is the same way. She is married to an engineer who has NO idea about the practical stuff. I have found many engineers in my life are the same way. They can give it to you in theory, but get them to actaully make the toliet stop running...forget it (dad is an engineer, too). Sorry. I haven't had to hang a door, but there are a lot of great sites that could explain it.

Sorry about your mailman! I love that about small towns though. It is kind of nice to know that he made such a big impact that he will be greatly missed (did that make any sense).

I was kind of excited to see how many states now have Blue Bell. It used to be a just Texas thing, but they seem to be branching out nicely. Yum! The crazy part of the ice cream story was that the winner wasn't going to confess! Ha, ha, ha!

Uh, oh. Now I am thinking about going early again! Girls in my family are always at least 2-3 weeks early. It has just been so long since we had a girl that I forgot. It will happen when it happens.

DH rested his head on my tummy last night and baby Jake went nuts! DH could feel all his squirms and thumps and even got kicked in the ear a few times. We also enjoyed a few minutes of his little belly ballet. Lots of obvious twitches we could see from the outside!

I guess that was a growth spurt last week and now he's big enough to REALLY make himself felt/seen.

My birthday is July 4 and I think it would be kind of cool to have another firecracker baby in the family! Our anniversary is July 6, but I'd rather avoid having a baby that day.

In any case, that would make me something like 37 weeks and I have NEVER been that lucky. My spontaneous labors didn't start til 40 and 41 weeks. Even my induced labor wasn't til 39 weeks lol.

Dh was a Father's Day baby, and, if this one is early as Benji, she will be born on Father's Day or dh's birthday.

Bee you were silly like me and got married too close to your birthday. Do you get anniversary presents? (I don't!) I'm lucky if I get a birthday present... I will pout though until I do.
oh yeah nipple stim wouldnt be for hours. just 20 minutes off and on to start up some contrax if in prodromal for weeks. like i was with Addy.

we just walked up to a little market down the road from us. got some DELICIOUS mexican pastries and some coke in a bottle. made with REAL sugar and not HFCS. omg so good. the fetus is flipping out right now i am looking down and seeing my belly roll. i LOVE this part of pregnancy. of course i feel guilty about drinking soda, but its better than american coke right?

Mel - that ice cream story is hysterical!

Nic - dh and I got married on the day between our birthdays. June 20 is dh's birthday, June 21 was our wedding day, June 22 is my birthday.

HA! Last night I figured out when Thomas is going to arrive! He was caused by a lapse in insurance (mine ended at the end of August & I didn't get on dh's until October, just long enough for cheap little me to miss a month of BCP). So of course he's going to be right on time... Assuming the house sells quickly, dh's insurance will lapse at the end of June and won't pick up again until mid-July with his new job. Thank goodness for COBRA, right?

DHs birthday is may 17th mine is may 12th. we rarely ever do presents because of that. Addys is july 15th i am "due" July 25th. *sigh* my sisters birthday, who is 3 years younger than me (like Addy and her sibling will be) is may 1st. we ALWAYS had combined parties. it SUCKED.
we made sure our anniversary comes nowhere near our birthdays. its october 31st. HARD to forget however, now getting pregnant around that day is the only time we GET pregnant. we tried for almost a year. seriously. started trying in November of '05 and it wasnt until October of 06 that we got pregnant. we got pregnant with Addy in october of '03.
: our babies are all destined to be july/august babies.
anniversaries are sexy arent they?
