My machine seized up! waaaaaahhhhh!!

and I was right in the middle of a project and had another one in mind for a birthday present on Saturday. Anyone's machine ever do this? what do I do? I have a Janome Harmony 2049 and I can't seem to take the thing apart... The needle won't move at all from the downward position. anyone have any experience with this??

I have no idea but i was in the middle of making a skirt on wed and my machine died!! so back to walmart i go!! barely had the machine before it broke!! frustrating

Have you tried removing the needle with needle nosed pliers or a hemostat?

oooooh, I fixed my machine!!!! I am soooo happy because I was going through some serious withdrawl last night. I was even crying to my husband that I couldn't do any projects I took the whole bobbin casing and the part which holds the bobbin case in place- took the whole thing apart, cleaned out a whole lot of lint and put it back together. Works just fine now and I'm so happy.
