Softest fabric for air drying dipers??

Hi,
I mainly use hemp diapers, and use the dryer, but as summer is on its way and we now have room to dry the dipers outside or on radiators now (we moved). Also its much more environmentally friendly. I want to make some new ones and the hemp ones I have are stiff when air dried. I am not to bothered about the time factor, more the softness. Was thinking about bamboo (my son is a super soaker so would like to use one of the more absorbant fabrics if possible!!!)
Which fabric is best? Please help

All the organic diapers I have (organic cotton and bamboo) air dry pretty soft. Sherpa can be soft as well, but I think it depends on the sherpa, because some of mine is softer than others, but I can't figure out why. A diaper made completely from organic cotton velour or bamboo velour (and probably terry, too) would dry quite soft, and still be very absorbent.

Thanks curly mummy. I guess I would go for bamboo velour if its a choice of terry or bamboo as bamboo is more absorbant (I think). Would soaker layers need to e velour or could they be plain old bamboo?
Thanks for the help in advance!!

The soaker layers can be of any bamboo you prefer - I've used the velour as a soaker and it works great. I have one all bamboo velour diaper, and I like it so much that I'm going to make several more - my other bamboo diapers have hemp fleece as the soaker and you are right, that makes for somewhat stiff line drying. I think bamboo terry, bamboo terry loop, and bamboo french terry will be comparable to the velour (I've found the velour cheaper, which is why I'm probably going to stick with that). Bamboo jersey is definitely too thin.

All that said, if you need a soaker guide, the bamboo velour diaper I made has a four layer soaker, which means it has a total of six layers of bamboo velour. I might try a three layer soaker next time - I think that would be plenty. Good luck!

I will definately go for all bamboo. My super soaker will need the 4 layers though I think!!
Thanks again
