I start my weekly NST's tomorrow, early. So I thought I would make the nurses some muffins. What kind should I make?? I am really at a loss. Silly ? I know.

No in your DDC, but I think it's a great idea.

My uncle made muffins each time he went into Home Depot during their kitchen renovation. Their kitchen looks great!!

And, my aunt is a nurse oncologist, and she always talks about the things her patients bring in. (Sometimes half-joking about all the sweets at the holidays - but we know that SOMEone in the unit is eating things!)

ETA: I now realize that you were asking for TYPES of muffins! I thought you were asking if it was a silly idea! (it isn't!!)

I'm not such a good muffin-maker, but I made raisin bran muffins on Sat. with a recipe that I found online. It says you can keep the batter up to 6 weeks(!) in the fridge. I'm going to start with a week and see how that goes. I made them primarily to use up some not-so-good flax raisin bran that I bought before I gave up breakfast cereal. It's great in muffins!

I just made these over the weekend and they were awesome--seems everybody likes blueberry. I did use 1/2 ww flour and frozen blueberries in them, I also think they would be good to add a little lemon or orange zest to the recipe. Check it out:

ohhh how nice. I made these peaches n cream muffins. you have chunks of peaches and you put part of the batter in and then this cream cheese with almond extract mixed in and then a bit more batter and they are amazing.

I don't have a recipe, but I love morning glory muffins. There's enough healthy stuff in there that I don't feel bad about the sweet taste and if I put butter on them.

How sweet are you?? Geez, all I give my NST nurses is the pleasure of seeing my smiling face twice a week. That's a good idea, though. I think I will bring mine some sort of treat on my last testing day. :

I decided on a Blueberry Muffin with Lemon & strusel topping.

I learned a LONG time ago.....it never hurts to bribe your nurses!
