Moms of three or more...lots of prodromal stuff?

This is my fourth and for the last week or so I've been having low menstrual cramp type contractions on and off. They don't ever last very long and only once have they involved my back. It seriously just feels like I'm getting ready to start my period. Of course, I'm haivng the usual braxton hicks and those aren't bothering me either. I haven't lost any mucuous plug and I am really wanting to make it to my due date of April 4th. (My mom and dad don't arrive here until the 30th of March.) Anyone else having lots of strange un-contractions? Any experienced birthers of lots that have had this before????

TIA!

I had two+ weeks of prodromal labor with this baby. My MW said that once you get into the third (or more) baby, you get lots of uterine activity.

This is my second baby and I didn't have a SINGLE contraction with my first (and then a csec), but with this one, I have had lot of BH's and now also lots of menstrual type symptoms. People, including my mw, tell me that my body will have an easier labor because of it, as my uterus is move ready for the work ahead of me.

I know several moms of our ddc had lots of prodromal labor, maybe they can tell us more?

Just recovering from the birth of DS #2 so I figure I can chip in with what happened this time around. First birth I had no warning whatsoever until my water broke, then it took about 6 hours for contractions to start. 3 hours after that DS #1 made his appearance.

This time I had been feeling like I was just about ready to start to get real contractions for the best part of a week (on and off). Never anything strong enough to say for sure that things were starting, just enough keep me in labor limbo.

Once again my water broke without my feeling any "real" contractions first. But this time around they were hard and regular within 45 minutes. I made it into the hospital in time to get into position and start pushing. 2.5 hours from first gush to birth. It seems like that week of "almost" gave my body time to get everything in place and ready to go.

I've never lost my plug first so I can't really comment on that bit.

I had LOTS of prodromal labor with #4 and two bouts when I thought it was the real thing.

This time I have had two bouts of thinking this could be it but not tons like last time. For me the difference is that last time when I started feeling contractions I would get up and walk around the block to try to keep them coming. This time I just go to bed knowing if it is real labor it will wake me up

This is my 4th and I've been having it for about 2 weeks now off and on. I never had BH with any of my others so this is new for me.
