Where to buy gloves to protect hands?

Not ones for winter!

My son, almost 4, absolutely loves riding his scooter. He's pretty darn good at it too. However, he tends to go as fast as he can, and then, of course, takes a spill. Does anyone know where to get protective gloves without fingers. I don't know what they're called. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

We got a little set for ds last year. it's fingerless gloves and knee and elbow pads. we got them at the fred meyer store (not sure if you have one of those) but you could probably get something like it at kmart or target maybe? ours doesn't have any 'characters' on it. you might also check at a local bike shop.

My son had some garden gloves that were his size once and he cut the fingers out of those. When he got older we bought him some of the bike gloves at the local bicycle shop.
