BF law WV

Just saw this tonight. I'm still not sure why Manchin vetoed it-trying to find more info. He definitely sounds pro-NIP, but why didn't he sign the bill????
Hope it goes through. (I was reading the section at the bottom of the page on the setback)

What should we do?

Are there any ideas of how to bombard with emails/calls for the babies and moms in WV?

Thanks,
PJJ

anyone know what the "conflict" is? i haven't read anything about it in my local paper (shock). I'd like to know what his issue is so i can address it directly in my phone call and letter, and so i can spread the word to other moms (and others) i know here and provide details.

i was so excited when they passed the bill! this is really disturbing.

When someone finds out, will you please post here? I'm originally from WV and think the BF rate there is shameful.

Yep. I got the email from the WV Breastfeeding Network either this morning or yesterday. Yay! They are welcoming the public to the signing in the Capitol lobby. Kids too, of course!

I know you're right, but fortunately, I don't know anyone who doesn't/didn't breastfeed. I've known MANY mamas who CLW here in Morgantown.

Congrats WV!

So it's AR, WV, & WI this year? WY too?

We're closing in on all 50 states with NIP laws! Only 4 or so states left, huh?
