Pride is coming quick!

Apparently some places, it is already taking place.

But ours that we will be attending will not be until June/July.

Our best friend and room mate wants to take her little girl and go with us. (She's a straight single mama in support of her lesbian friends!~ )

Her little girl will be about 7 months at this time.

She's FF but we will have a sling for her.

Has anyone does this, or have any advice?

I'm not sure where you live, but in DC, Pride is always on a horribly humid day in June. So, if you are in this area, tell your friend to bring lots and lots of water/formula. I'd also suggest getting to pride earlier than later because there are less people to bump into in the earlier hours.
Oh, and let your friend know that lots and lots of lesbians will want to talk to her about her baby! I know my wife and I were always on the lookout for lesbian moms at pride, and it was always sweet for them to talk to us.

Pride here is in June, and usually hot, except last year when it POURED during the parade (and sadly flooded our Rainbor Resourse Center here).

I have taken my DD every year, and just brought the stroller along when she was young and would get tired sooner. Just be sure to have lots of supplies with you (water/formula/extra stuff for weather) and all is fine. It is no different than going out normally, except there is more to do and enjoy

Oh yeah, we took our dd when she was around 5 months old, no problem. Mostly we just held her, but I had a sling as well. She loved all the fun things and people to look at. Biggest downfall were big honking vehicles - I think we had a firetruck honk loudly right next to us, and she was sleeping at the time, but slept right through it. We didn't go last year because it was extremely hot out that day (and for a number of other reasons, actually, it just didn't work out last year), but I definitely want to go with dd again this year. I know she'll love it.

We always bring our kids to pride too. Our Pride happens in May, and the weather is either perfect or cold and rainy. When it rains, Luke and Jaz bring their rainbow umbrellas! We live in a very queer family rich area, so Pride is a *very* kid-friendly event (actually, we never even went to Pride before we had kids).

Have fun!
