first reproductive endocrinologist appt is today

and I'm so nervous because we just don't know what to expect.

Both DH and I have appointments. DH has a condition that makes it likely his sperm isn't healthy. He's going to get the lab orders so he can get an SA.

For me, well I have no idea what to expect. I bleed 21 days out of my 29 day AF cycle. Yes, at best I get 8 days AF free. I have a history of ovarian cysts and lost my thyroid and 3 parathyroids to cancer.

I know the odds are low that we will be able to have kids. I'm strangely ok with that. I know that we will be parents someday even if our children are not biologicially related to us. I'll be happy if the RE can just get my periods normalized without just throwing BC at me, which is the only solution a whole string of gyns has been able to offer. I want to fix the cause not just treat the symptoms.

Do you have a list of questions/concerns you want to be sure to address with your RE? I know having that (written! and brought with me!) helped a lot. Its very easy to have a bunch of things in your head that you suddenly blank on when the doctor starts talking to you .

I had an entire 3 page document full of questions that I brought with me, and made sure the doc allowed me time to go through them to make sure they'd been addressed.
