Amnio/IUGR

I go for my amnio this morning to check to see if baby's lungs are ready.
If they are, I get to go to the hospital to have her tomm. morning.
Obviously this is not something I had plannned, but because of her IUGR it is the best choice.
I really hope she is ready because this whold going to the doctors every other day is getting old and I am so tired of worrying about her in there.
Did I mention I hate needles? The thought of this amnio is making me want to puke though. But anything for a safe healthy baby.

Sending you tons of well wishes and hopes for positive amnio results. I had an amnio with DS at 36w3d and his lungs were mature. The amnio itself was a breeze and was not painful at all (though I know everyone's experience is different). Hopefully, your experience will be similar.

Good luck!

Just got back from the amnio. It was OK, but did hurt towards the end.
I get the results in a couple hours. The fluid was still somewhat clear which I guess could mean her lungs are not ready. I hope they are ready, but I just have to wait and see.

I will update as soon as we get the results.
