This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

I would certainly consider rigid heddle weaving hand weaving. I have a floor loom that I work on....when I have time! I recently taught a few beginning weaving classes on the rigid heddle and loved it. I am new to that type of loom so it was a challenge but it was fun. There are so many different things that can be done on a rigid heddle!
I usually learn from books that I have purchased. I also know a couple of weavers where I live. In college I took two semesters of weaving as well. That's where I have learned everything I know. I still have so much to learn though.

I have a floor loom and I'd love to spend more time working on it; I've had the same piece on it for over a year. My excuse is that I've just become a functioning human being again in the last month or so...newborns are HARD.

I'm a hand-weaving wannabe. I even asked for a loom for Christmas, but DH didn't have it together enough to get me a present before the 23rd and then of course couldn't get what I wanted... grrr... Soon I will be in your ranks!

I took weaving a little over 15 years ago in college. I liked it and was good at it, but halfway through that semester I had to leave school due to illness. When I was ready to start attending again I went to a local college that didn't offer it.
I just got a 4 harness table loom just like the ones we used to use in school cheap on ebay. The listing was misspelled and no dimentions were listed so the bidding stayed low. I haven't actually woven anything on it yet. I need to make my self a warping board.
