Beeswax crayons-Stockmar or Lyra?

Does anyone use these and prefer one or the other as far as quality, durability, good color, etc?

Since I find these to be super expensive, I want to make sure I get my money's worth!

I don't have any Lyra crayons to compare to--although we do buy the Lyra pencils (so great)--but the Stockmar crayons are wonderful. Especially if you buy the block crayons, they last forever. They really are worth the $$$.

Also...Mercurius is the supplier, we set up a homeschool co-op with them in my hs group--you just have to meet the $150minimum order, still not cheap, but easier to rationalize.

For some reason, my son preferred the Lyra crayons. He'd always go for those first over the Stockmar. Not sure why - I thought they were both wonderful.

We use stockmar

We love the Stockmar crayons Block and stick! You can get them for a good price at paperscissorsstone.com!

My kids make so many nice pictures with Stockmar blocks. I live in Europe and the set is sold without black, and this makes their pictures very colorful.

I will have to check them both out. I had never heard of them
