I would expect better as I live in OH (where their distribution center is located) but it's not horrible either.

I voted it was okay. Since I'm overseas, most things from the States take about a 1-2 weeks to get to me (military mail sucks!). My orders from KP get here in about a week plus a day or two- so it's average for me.

interesting!

It's always been really fast for me (in IL). I think 5 days is the longest I've waited for anything, and that was right after the holidays.

It's one of those examples of "you get what you pay for".

In KnitPick's case, you're not paying for shipping at all over a certain amount, so you really can't expect it to arrive in "priority" time when you're basically paying for "whenever it's convenient for them and they can get it out to you" time.

That said, I've had orders take a few days and orders take up to 2 weeks.
It eventually gets here, though.

The last time I ordered from them (back in July 06 or so), it took about a week.

I've ordered from WA, CA and NH. I've had orders take anywhere from 4 days to 2 weeks. They do have a tracking option on their website which is semi-helpful. I don't complain as I usually use the free shipping. One time I paid for shipping (just needed a few things) and it took 4 days and I consider that appropriate.

i've order from them 4 times now, each time received free shipping. i am in oregon and the longest it took for my yarn to get to me was a week (two times).

They don't send Priority, and I've gotten packages anywhere from 4 days to 10 days after it shipped. You do get what you pay for, but they're also pretty up front about shipping times, and that it can take up to two weeks to recieve your order.

Mine (i'm in AZ) tend to take 14 business days. it seems like FOREVER. And on the tracking information, it seems to sit in sorting areas for a couple business days as well (I'd understand more if it was sitting over weekends). I joked about it taking side trips to see the sights while it was making its cross country journey.

ok I'm gonna get my dyes there afterall then. thanks all!

I just made my first order on saturday. The tracking says estimated in home date is March 28. I think that is absurd especially considering we're only talking a couple of balls of yarn and a circular needle.

I live in IL and it usually is about 4-5 days.

The tracking always says longer then it actually will take in my experiance. My last order had 10 days on the tracking and it arrived in 7 with the free shipping. I am in CO.... this has been the case with both of my other orders as well.

I'm in Indiana and since they have a center in Ohio I expected it to come quickly. I've ordered twice with a former co-worker who lives around the corner from me and she said she usually gets her stuff really fast. We ordered a few weeks ago and it took 7 or 8 days to arrive.

I'm in Canada too and I found it fast. For me I find most things I get from the US take 2-3 weeks, probably because it sits in customs. Knitpicks takes care of the customs part up front so that doesn't happen. They charge 10% for the taxes at the time they bill you but it really does seem to help. Once it says shipped on the site it is pretty fast.

I've only ordered from them once, but it got here in TWO days. That was wonderful.

Oh, and I'm in CO also.
