Hi All,

Just trying to get some feedback on this high FSH thing I am going through.

I just found out recently that it is 26.6 with a in-range LH.

No periods with 2yr nursing dd.

0.00 progesterone.

ND prescribed Vitex, licorice, s. ginseng tincture.

I have one dd and would really like more! I have googled FSH and just getting back infertility websites. Can anyone talk to me more about this?

Many thanks!

I recently found out that my fsh is 12 and estrogen is 52. I will be doing an IVF cycle in May. This is a response to my post earlier in the month. This information was very helpful. My technical skills are lacking so the only thing I could figure out to do was copy and paste.

Posts: 276 There is a high FSH support board at: http://www.network54.com/Forum/209394/

Many of the women on this board have done IVF (lots of success stories) with high FSH. It's a fast-moving board with extremely knowledgeable members and it's completely focused on high FSH issues. I recommend it to anyone here at MDC who mentions high FSH. I got a lot of good info from it when I was given the news that my FSH, like yours, was 12-ish.

Good luck--

You can only accurately test fsh at the very beginning of a cycle, ideally day two or three. If you are not having periods then the test is meaningless.

It is possible to conceive naturally with high fsh, although with a true level of 26 iv is probably out of the question. Fsh means a lower ovarian reserve, although not necessarily lower quality. Quality is more linked with age.

Because it fluctuates during different times in your cycle. To get a true reading it needs to be done at the beginning of your cycle.

Hopefully when you get is tested when your periods return the results will be spot on.
