I can only guess as to why you are having PPD. But first a few questions...

What kind of support do you have?

What was your birth experience like?

What dose are you taking?

BTW; have you taken this quiz?

It's possible that the medication isn't the best fit for you or that you need another med in combination with the zoloft. Your hormones are out of whack; it's not always all psychological or all biological--for most women it's a combination. Are you seeing a therapist? Have you talked to your ob about how you feel now? You're only 2 weeks out from your birth, which is the typical baby blues period. I'm not discounting your feelings, simply saying that even for women who don't have ppd and aren't on meds, this can be a difficult time. Also, it's very likely that if you weren't on the meds that the ppd would be a lot worse; being on them doesn't mean that someone won't be depressed. I hope everything evens out for you within the next few days....

I do see a therapist but i haven't seen her in a while do to problems with my pregnancy but i have made an appt for 4/2.. I will ask her about a combo but i also breastfeed so i don't know what all I can take. I actually haven't told my OB but i figured that i will tell him at my 6 week check up since im going to see me therapist.. I also agree with u that it could be a lot worse. That's why my OB wanted me to stay on the zoloft while preg..
