hi, i just hsd my baby on 3/12/07 and i have ppd. i have been on zoloft before, during and i am still currently taking it. i am wondering how i got it because of me taking meds already. any advice ladies?

I can only guess as to why you are having PPD. But first a few questions...
What kind of support do you have?
What was your birth experience like?
What dose are you taking?

i had a sceduled c section which i was very worried about
i am taking 200mg of zoloft. ( quiet a bit)
and i will take the quiz soon.
I don't know why i have it but all i can say is roday is one of my best days in a while..

It's possible that the medication isn't the best fit for you or that you need another med in combination with the zoloft. Your hormones are out of whack; it's not always all psychological or all biological--for most women it's a combination. Are you seeing a therapist? Have you talked to your ob about how you feel now? You're only 2 weeks out from your birth, which is the typical baby blues period. I'm not discounting your feelings, simply saying that even for women who don't have ppd and aren't on meds, this can be a difficult time. Also, it's very likely that if you weren't on the meds that the ppd would be a lot worse; being on them doesn't mean that someone won't be depressed.
I hope everything evens out for you within the next few days....
