i used cotton broadcloth... and it isnt stiff like purchased oilcloth but it does seem to be drying. slowly. its been sitting for two days now.

Ok, an update on my thin fabric foray into oilcloth.

It worked great, just took 3 whole days to dry. My mother is enjoying her birthday present now, just a couple of days late.

Awesome thread! I'm gonna have to try to make some of these. It didn't even occur to me that I could sew these instead of buying 'em. Thanks!
