Good Morning Ladies! Hope everyone is having a great day oops, I have been busy at work and been meaning to post this since around 8.30 am, good afternoon!

Devon, you crack me up. Thanks for the morning giggle! And you have rec'd tons of great advice already about THE BOY, advice far more insightful than I could give, but I wanted to just add a little tidbit, b/c I can relate to where you are coming from. I dated a lot before I met dh, had tons of heartbreak from 2wk, 3wk, 1month "relationships". I always felt super nervous about what the guy would think of me or would spend all this time trying to figure out what they were thinking or read their intentions behind their actions. For me, my experience was, when I was able to let go of all the second guessing was when things really worked out. Dh was the first person I dated where I actually felt comfortable being myself and didnt question what he *really* meant by this or that, or whatever. So, for me, when all that extra junk falls by the wayside is when it really works. I think what everyone else said and have fun in the now, and really, you'll know it when it hits you, the right guy I mean :

Woohoo! This is really great. You have clearly put tons of work into this, and it has happened so quickly, it's just really awesome to see the finished product. And too, it sounds like getting it done has stressed you out. It will all turn out fine and everything is going to be great. I know you are going to sell a ton of these books right away.

Any advice is appreciated
It sounds like you are on the right track! Just go with the flow

Oh, and CC the summer with your inlaws sounds intriguing. I am not sure, but it seems like there are more pros than cons. And I love the idea of being able to let the little 'uns run around like Laura Ingalls, who wouldnt want that. I think that if you go for it, it might be a very memorable and special summer.

There has been so much good stuff said, I don't really have anything super to add except that
a) I wish there was another Amris out there to make YOU feel as good as you always do for us!
2) I think you would sell more books if you put out a softcover. I don't know anything about lulu but couldn't you just make up a rough retail price and if you overcharge for pre-orders just give a small refund? I would absolutely pre-order!! KoalaMama's plan sounded really good.

And on the job front, have you thought about finding a child or two to babysit? The pay is generally great and you would be able to bring Kira!!

Trust. Trust the process.
I'm so glad you're going!! And that yoga place sounds AWE-SOME!! Maybe I'll come visit LOL. I am glad you're feeling confident, I'm sure it will be fantastic.

And thanks, as always, for the fabulous advice!!

It's not all my friends, it just seems like the ones I like the best all have personal issues that keep them from going out a lot. Hmmm, thinking of what was discussed the past few days on this list, I guess I should ask why would *I* be manifesting friends who are unable to get out and see people? Ok, I have NO idea what the answer is but I'll think on that. And maybe ask for an answer so my brain or God can get working on giving it to me
I do the same thing... I love my 2 best friends but they're not always available for ME . I think doing some affirmations and working on the FEELINGS of being surrounded by friends would really help. Meanwhile, I'm on spring break next week, I could come play with you!!

I'm trying to really "get" LoA. I understand the process, but I'm not sure I get how it works. I think it's something that has to come to me, perhaps.

I do have a question, and I hope it hasn't been asked a million and one times already. What phrasing do I use to say this: "We have plenty of money to pay our bills and live comfortably"
Is it best to go further than that, and just focus on feeling financially secure? I'm guessing I wouldn't want to specify how the money came (ie, dp gets more students).
We're almost paying our monthly bills, and the rest is coming from an inheritance. It will feel really good when we can pay our bills and living expenses with dp's income alone (and not feel bad when we order a pizza once every few months. lol)!
First of all, DON'T try to keep up! It's a party!! She signals the waiter for a refill on her wineglass and snags a chicken teriyaki stick

Re: your question... the biggest thing is NOT to think about HOW, in fact, don't even think that much about what STUFF you want, and I think even saying "enough to pay the bills" is somewhat limiting... I am not great at writing affirmations, but many of our mamas are so I'll leave it to them.

But think about how you will feel, eating your delicious guilt free pizza or even *gasp* going out to a nice restaurant... and FEEL THAT WAY. The Universe will bring you more of those feelings and that's all there is to it.

Its a series of 5 yoga excersizes that only take a few minutes to do and you feel so great afterwards! You start looking forward to doing them every morning and its amazing to watch your body get a little stronger and more flexible every day. They get your chakras flowing and put you into a meditative state which is a great way to start your morning.
Heres an explanation of how they work:
"the majority share the view that the rites represent a system of exercise that affects the body, emotions and mind. The Tibetans claim that these exercises activate and stimulate the seven key chakras that in turn stimulate all the glands of the endocrine system. The endocrine system is responsible for the body's overall functioning and aging process. This means that the Five Rites will affect the functioning of all your organs and systems, including the physical and energetic systems and that includes the aging process. The man who brought these Five Rights out of Tibet stated that "performing the Five Rites stimulates the circulation of essential life energy throughout the body".
and a print out sheet of the excersizes:
http://www.mkprojects.com/pf_TibetanRites.htm
That sounds great, I am going to check it out! Thanks for sharing! I feel so off this week because I had to skip yoga class, and I've always had trouble practicing at home.

You know what would be so cool? When we have our own forum we should have separate "chat" threads for relationships, health, money, etc. This way we can easily draw from all the knowledge that has been spread before

hi everyone! I haven't been able to keep up here today but I have read some of Devon's hilarious posts and just had to say,

Devon, I you!
Thanks for the input on my question about wording/feelings. I am going to think about it more. I'm really close, though!
I'm lucky in a way, because I've always had a feeling (no, strike that, I've always known) that I was going to have plenty of money. I just don't know when! (and even though we show, like, $10,000 in net income from dp's business a year, I actually don't really *feel* broke.)

Is it ok if i use the term "Spirit" for what most of you are calling "Universe"? (I mean, I know it's ok, like I won't be kicked out of the club . But is there some reason NOT to use that word?). Universe just doesn't...speak to me, I guess. And I believe in a Goddess/God, but it doesn't feel like that is the right word to use for this specific thing. Does that make any sense at all? I know, I know. I way over think things. But once I get it right in my head, it feels good, and I feel really relaxed with it.

I can help with quoting multiple quotes. I just learned it recently myself, and I think it's really cool lol As you read the thread, click on the little button that has the " and the + on it (on the bottom right of the post, right beside the quote button).
You can click as many as you want. When you are ready to post, click "Post Reply" at the end of the thread. Then all the posts that you clicked the + button on will be there in quotes. Then you just delete everything but what you wanted to quote, and there ya go.

I think the consensus is pretty much that we have all decided we can stand people calling it "god, universe, spirit, source, higher power, yada yada, french toast" without too much discomfort.

Although I think I'm the only one that uses french toast. I have no idea how anyone can possibly NOT love french toast, though. :

(Yes, that's a joke, I don't worship french toast)

I was going to tell you but Deva33mommy's got you covered!

I personally love it when people "snip" out the stuff they aren't responding to, or even cut the other person's post down significantly... this thread is long enough without re-reading the same post quoted over and over, yk? And the little arrow next to the "quot-ee"'s name will take you right back to their original post if you missed it.

I could worship french toast! As long as there is real maple syrup involved, I am there! This thread makes me think about yummy food! I mean teriyaki, flaky pastry and french toast today, cookies, biscuits etc yesterday. Oh, and Ben and Jerry's! I found some of that Willie Nelson Peach Cobbler the other day! Chaching! The first store I went to didn't have it and the Ben and Jerry's was $4.59 ! The next store had the Willie Nelson flavor and they were only $3.59! : It's super yummy, thanks for whoever brought that up weeks ago

I love it! Love that you just popped out with that, it is perfect and (imo) how every home should feel -- like a holy place, a sanctuary, a place that is your own little world within the bigger world.

On that note, we are not going to Michigan -- the projections for how much money we could make is lower than I thought among a few other kinks. Not that we would have been going just for the money but it doesn't seem wise to ditch the apartment and have to come back here basically starting over with a lot less money than we projected.

It's all good, I am not going to feel limited. What is meant to be will be and this clearly wasn't.

*only good things happen to us*

Our store has a SLOT for the Peach Cobbler B&J's, but it's always filled with Chunky Monkey! Obviously, I wasn't clear enough in my thoughts on the subject. When I said I was happy and thankful that my local store sold the flavor, I didn't mean that I was grateful that it was SOLD OUT! Jeez!

I had a really good day. I almost forgot that, I'm so tired, but it was a really good day AND I accomplished some technical set up stuff for doing readings. I'm working on it, I swear! Tweaked the astrology program the way I want it, and got the voice recording program to work (luckily a computer geek friend stopped by today!). Isn't set to do two-way conversations, yet, but.... it'll get there. I registered the shareware and am just waiting for them to send the code so I can record more than 100 seconds. Talking is so much easier than typing; I don't second guess myself so much!

I realized that although this is going slowly, and I've had a (somewhat) sore throat for days and days now (Haven't looked up what Louise Hay has to say about that, yet, but I'm sure it's related!), still I am doing it! A few months ago I would've been totally freaked out by even the thought of doing this. But now... I'm psyched! I really do feel that it will work out well, and I really do remember that I don't have to figure out everything right now, I can do it a step at a time. Thus, no panic! Also I listened to the Michael Beckwith interview today, and picked up some inspiration there.

On the serious side, I am pleasantly surprised to find that I mind less and less what words people use. And that's people in general. YOU ladies are special, and I feel so amazingly comfortable here, you can call it whatever you want.

And when dh makes challah french toast, and of course it has pure maple syrup well, does intense enjoyment and becoming one with something come under the heading of worship?

Wow! I didn't know that. thanks! see you are comic relief and technical information, too!

And, yes, I know a little about relationship charts.

Shannon, I think the whole Star Wars thing about The Force fits pretty well with some of the LoA stuff. Not so much the light/good dark/bad bit, but the way that it's everywhere and in everything... pretty radical for a mainstream movie when it first came out, or so it seemed to me. (But then, I was in high school at the time and living with my fundamentalist christian parents... )

Thank you! so am I!

And I'm feeling better DESPITE the fact hat I managed to manifest myself a VERY sore throat (is anyone surprised? I'm not ) and some serious congestion.

In case anyone is wondering, Louise Hay says:

Quote:
sore throat and tonsilitis. The probable causes of these are holding in angry word, feeling unable to express the self, repressed emotions, stifled creativity and fear. The rememdy is to repeat these affirmations and create a new thought pattern: I release all restrictions, and I am free to be me. My good now flows freely. Divine ideas express through me. I am at peace.
And:

Quote:
Sinus problems usually come from irritation to one person, perhaps someone close to you. You let this person get in your face too much. This could be a partner, a relative, or a boss. You feel that you don't have the right to breathe for yourself. The worst sinus attack I ever had was on a vacation in a small car with my in-laws. For two weeks I couldn't figure out why I couldn't breathe. As soon as the vacation was over, so was my sinus attack. I think you somehow feel that life is closing in on you—too much to do and too much pressure. Deep breathing, meditation, yoga, conscious relaxation—all of these things could help you.
Affirm: “I take in life fully and freely. I am safe. Life loves me and takes care of me. I am protected. Everything I need comes to me when I need it. All is well.

Maybe start brainstorming free and simple ways to promote your book; for example what just popped into my head when I was thinking about your book is:
I know that Joe Vitale helps a lot of people out by promoting in his newsletters. Maybe you could send him a message from Spirit and mention your book and see how things go from there?

We had an awesome day today I (for lack of a better word) "blessed" our snack food while I was making it this afternoon. In my head I talked to it, thanked the carrots for letting us eat them, for being so yummy, for being full of vitamins and minerals and beta carotene. Repeat for the cucumbers, repeat for the olives, etc. It felt very nice When I washed the dishes I even thanked the pot for cooking our food and thought about how we got it for a wedding present. I can only imagine the looks I'd get from dh if I did this out loud,

Or in-home babysitting. Then you don't have to leave, unless you want to. I don't mean running a daycare because that requires all sorts of permits and such but I think watching one or two kids is just babysitting. Or after-school care. That's something needed in my area.

We could do the thing from Ask/Given and walk around the mall with crisp $100 bills in our pockets looking at things and saying "I could buy that if I wanted . . . " I just need to arrange with my mom or MIL to take my lovely children because othewise we wouldn't get a word in edgewise
