question: will a bead shop know what tiger's tail hole-size means?

i'm thinking i might buy the beads while i'm in ireland next month as half of our family lives there.

Tigertail is just thin, flexible (multi-strand) beading wire. It is thicker than thread and fishing line, but thinner than some other kinds of wire and thinner than leather / ribbon, for example. They will know!

I'm pretty sure that mothering's rules require us to do it 100% in the TP or elsewhere like yahoo, I don't think we are allowed to keep non TP members in if we choose to keep it here, even if it's done by PM. I've seen other swaps get shut down for stuff like that.

I am super excited about this!! Have we decided that tiger's tail hole size is the forsure size we need? Just wanted to make sure.... very eager to find the perfect bead to share with everyone!

Are we also going to add a note to go with the bead? I thought it was mentioned at one point.

what size is the tiger tail should the beads fit????? Diameter wise?? I don't want to send too small or too big beads...kwim??? Should we pick a universal type size like it should be able to fit this mm bead etc???

I buy most of my beads online bc the last time i took dd to the bead store....well, lets just say it's not gonna happen anytime soon again....lol

ohnoz, really? some of us can't get to TP for nearly another two months....

can someone look into this and find out the rules?

Hi, I really, really, really want to be in the bead swap. For some reason it is not letting me access TP, which is perplexing since I have been a member for a long, long time. What should I do?

There are a few of us mamas who really want to participate but for one reason or another can't access TP. Can't we host it somewhere where all of the mamas who wish to participate can? Thank you, thank you!

Maybe it takes a few hours - perhaps in the morning? If you still have trouble in the am I would try posting in the question and suggestions forum. I hope you get into the tp - I have done a couple of co-ops I am so excited about - though I have yet to receive anything I ordered.

I would prefer to have it on MDC because I come here daily ( okay, several times daily).

Here are the swap forum rules

MDC Swap Board Rules and Guidelines

Access to the board is restricted to members who have been registered for 6 months and have at least 150 posts.

Organizers must have participated in at least 4 swaps before taking on the coordinator position. This is to include at least one swap of the same type you are organizing (i.e. traditional, craft, reverse, etc...)

Organizers shall not be in charge of more than 1 swap at any given time.

Participants shall not be involved in more than 3 swaps at any given time.

All participants must have some proof that a package has been sent. This can be DC, Insurance, Customs forms, PO receipt that can be scanned, etc...

If a member does not send out a swap package in the allotted time and is not actively working with the recipient to resolve the situation, the moderator of the forum is to be contacted and they will lose their TP access until the situation is resolved.

Feedback is appreciated in all situations. Feedback is to be left only by the recipient and not the organizer. Participants may leave feedback for the organizer.

Has our organizer participated in four swaps, and another bead swap at that?

Swaps are not allowed to take place anywhere but the TP, per MDC rules.

I think the chances are pretty slim that anyone here has done 4 MDC swaps including a bead swap. Those are some pretty strict requirements. :
