We have found most of the problems with Sierra updated post 57

We did an echo today to check on her heart because that could be what is causing alot of the problems. What we found was shocking news. She blew her PDA open. She had surgery to close it when she was 2 and a half weeks old. With it open she has poor oxygenation and constant desats. We have to wait for her to be stable to go in and fix it.

oh, wow, so sorry to hear that. I guess it is good that they know it is a problem. when do they expect to be able to fix it?

Oh My! It's very good that this was found.
Just how stable does she need to be?

When she stops being a drama queen and relaxes and quits coding and desatting

She has to be alot more stable than she is. Right now she desats, gets bagged and within minutes of getting back up she desats again. We need her to be able to hold her saturations up long enough to get in and do the surgery. Right now she will die in surgery

I thought I would update you all....this is from her journal

Sierra is going into surgery in a little bit to close her PDA. They had to paralyze her because anytime anyone touched her she would desat. We have spent the majority of the day desatting coming back up desatting again and repeat. She coded once today and that was the scariest thing ever. She is finally stable enough to go in and do the PDA Ligation. I am more terrified for this one because it is really high risk but has to be done to save her life. I will update later tonight

Keep this little one in your prayers!!
