Children's clothing...how much?

I have two DS's and because I have been given so many hand-me-downs, we are drowning in clothing. How much do we really need, if I stay on top of the laundry? If.....I do....
I just feel like there is too much!

My sons are 7 and 19 months...
We live in San Diego, so it is a very mild climate.


What do you all have?

Since I detest laundry, I keep two weeks worth of clothes around for my kids. They are old enough to do their own laundry now, so it isn't as big an issue, but when they were little that was my rule of thumb. I also have always kept a 'goodwill box' on the go - when it's full it goes in a bag and I take it all in. Everyone throws stuff in there day to day as they root through their drawers and closets and fold their laundry.
