I hate to be the bearer of bad news for those of you who don't know, but Sanjaya is not going anywhere. He is the number one pick on votefortheworst.com

there are so many people who have jumped on that band wagon of throwing the whole thing that he is not going anywhere.

he is so out of his league! and i am really bummed Gina is gone. is it just me or are this year's picks really just below standard altogether? (besides the few that are really good)?

A few people aside, this year has really sucked. Particularly on the men's side. I am only really truly into 3 or 4 of the folks that are on the show at this point. (I am still about Stephanie leaving, and I still dig Chris Sligh. I hope he makes a CD.)

This is the strangest season of AI so far, IMO.

So do you think there will be another season? I think the voting process is dorked up, but I have no idea what else they should do instead.

They could limit it to a certain number of votes per household. They do that with plenty of other shows, including Dancing with the Stars. However, AI will never do it because they like to brag about their "30 million votes" (in reality, a million or less people voting a zillion times each).

I agree this season is stinking up the joint. Melinda and Lakisha are the only really good ones, IMO. (I'm not feeling the Blake/Chris love.) I was sorry to see Gina go... it's ridiculous that Sanjaya and Haley are still there!

Maybe its the producers of AI that have started this whole "vote for the worst" thing.......bc otherwise, it would be quite a boring season. No one would tune in till the last 3 weeks to see Jordan, Melinda and Lakesha. Thats the only thing interesting on the show now......to see how bad Sanjaya is and what the heck is he going to do with his hair this week! seriously.......

I just found this thread and AI is my guilty pleasure tv show! Dh watches with me every week too.
Can't believe Gina was the one that got sent home! She was NOT the worst by a long shot. Haley wore the shortest skirt possible cause Simon said she has great legs (which she does), but she kinda sucks. I think Phil has a decent voice but he icks me out. Totaly needs a hat to cover that dome. I like Blake, think he has great style and am curious to see what he puts out on his album. Melinda, Jordin and Lakesha have great voices but I don't see them as pop stars.. Melinda needs to lay off the gosh, you like me, you REALLY like me

I am absolutely floored! I cannot believe Gina was axed. This is the first time I've almost cried at AI (well, I did tear up when Kelly C. won the first one), she was just like a breath of fresh air, and I love the quality of her voice.

I canNOT believe that Sanjaya and HALEY are still there. I am convinced that Haley is only still there because of the sex kitten angle and because San Antonio is really pushing voting for her. I'm so irritated. It's never been clearer to me that it's truly not a singing competition.

Oh, and Chris R.? I don't get him at ALL. He sings right through his nose, and it bugs the living shite out of me.

you should be happy for gina. now she can go and get a really decent recording contract on her own, instead of being tied to an ai contract. she'll probably end up doing really great for herself.

i cried too when gina left. the irony of her song and the beautiful, heartfelt manner in which it was sung. i hope i do see more of her in the music scene. she was wonderful.

I wonder if Sanjaya knows he's really a laughing stock. I'd feel sorry for the kid, if he didn't bug the snot out of me.
