Mom Yelled At My DS Today At Class Picnic

DS, age 10 was at his class picnic. It was in a family's home, and they have a nice pool in their backyard. Ds stood in the home's doorway (which was open) he was wet from the pool and asked me to throw him a towel. This obnoxious mom starts yelling, "Don't come in here! You're wet! You'll ruin the floors in this nice home!" BLAH etc. etc. I went to DS and said, "I know you weren't going to come in wet, so just ignore her." Inside I was really mad; this mom is quite bitter over her divorce and treats all kids like they're criminals. Just had to vent, I guess. :

If the mom who did the yelling was the owner of the house- I would have said something along the lines of 'why did you invite so many children over here if you're so worried about the house?'

Well, i probably wouldn't have said it, but I sure would have thought it. If the mom wasn't the owner, I would have just said 'thanks for your concern, but he knows not to come in the house when he's wet'.

Nah, this was a mom who is just a jerk. The mom who owned the house didn't care if the floor got wet as long as no one slipped and got hurt. Can you say, "ready for the schoolyear to be over"?
