I'm going to be induced

At my visit to my OB she noted that my edema is worsening, I have protein in my urine and my BP is high. She did an exam and I'm 2cm and fully effaced so she is adding my name to the induction list at the hospital.

I'm feeling kind of numb. I had hoped to go in to labour spontaneously. But I don't want to endanger myself or the babies. I've called my doula and she is at another hospital with a woman who is 4 cm and she will call me later tonight so that we can discuss what will happen when I get called to head in to the hospital.

Now I need to get my stuff together. I haven't packed anything. I want to get the bags ready so that I can go sleep for a while.

Wow, that's big news! I hope things go great for you- even when I was being threatened with induction for the first time with #1, I remember being kind of shocked. I suppose with twins things are a little more risky, though, and from the sounds of it you're getting ready anyway. Good luck! Looking forward to hearing your update- I'm sure everything will go fine!

I'm starting to have some strong contractions. They are definitely a change from the BHC that I was having before. I'm going to go have a shower and head to bed.

Natasha and Nathan arrived on March 29th.

Natasha spun her way out at 10:40 pm weighing 2965 grams/6.5 pounds
Nathan flew out after her at 10:46 weighing 2305 grams/5.1 pounds

I will post their birth story after I get the notes from my doula.
