Anyone doing this with their preschooler/ younger hs-er?
DD is nearly three and I think we're going to start it soon.
Any opinions on the program?

I had thought it was more for 5-6 year olds. Do you have a link to their website?

It's geared towards K-3. We wouldn't be doing most of the work, just introducing vocabulary. She's really interested in language (we already speak english and spanish around/ with her) so I think introducing another vocab at this point would be fun for her.

I've used it with 2 kids, more around age 6 or 7. Personally, I think it's boring as all get out, but the kiddos were excited to be learning another language. And if you want no Christian content, well, then, it's pretty useless, since you're memorizing lots of prayers in Latin.

Latin For Children is planning on coming out with a book for younger kids, stuff like songs to build vocabulary. Overall, the LfC stuff is relatively fun (then again, watching paint dry is probably more fun than the Latina Christiana/Prima Latina books).

I haven't done it that young. I just bought a set from someone last week to start with my girls (9yo and almost 7yo).

I have waited until they had a good English phonics base before beginning Latin.

Minimus is more fun than PL, and not a bad choice if just emphasizing vocabulary.

Queen Gwen-thanks for the tip about Latin for Children and the possible forthcoming book for younger children. I just started researching Latin programs for the future.
